My first chair made without plans. The chair was made with one slab of mahogany 17” wide, 3” thick, and 50” long. I was unable to make the seat with a continuous board because I couldn’t resaw the 17” dimension. So I cut the seat board into two boards, resawed them, and then glued the board back together. The final seat appears to be a continuous board.
